In Japanese culture, girls spend Valentine's Day giving chocolate gifts to the boys. A month later on "White Day" (aka Marshmallow Day), the men are suppose to return the favor by giving the women gifts like white chocolate, jewelry and marshmallows. Inspired by this tradition, my friend Yumi created a two-part potluck. The first part took place on Sunday in Pasadena. A group of us girls came together to cook, decorate and lavish the boys in scrumptious delights. Here are a few photos from the event.
In about a month, it will be the boys turn to impress the ladies with their decorating and culinary skills. Morgan and I offered to host White Day at our place in Los Feliz under the condition I don't help with the decorations. I can't wait to see what they come up with!
gorgeous pics.
