I made my first batch of Jamaica agua fresca this weekend. I was pleasantly surprised at how fast and easy it was to make. So easy in fact, I think the hardest part was finding a grocer that sold the dried jamaica flowers. Morgan ended up finding them at the Jons on Sunset and Vermont. I used this recipe and the sweet and tart nature of the drink made it perfect for Summer. The best part is when the flowers expand in the boiling water and, as my co-worker Ginger said, "look like tiny octopuses."
