Golly gee! I'm so excited to get back to blogging. Here are those Santa Fe photos I promised to show you guys. If you like little boutique towns and arid weather, you will love Santa Fe! The vibrant colors and adobe-style homes and hotels had me smiling the entire time I was there. Oh, and if you're ever driving through New Mexico and happen to witness a lightning storm, consider yourself very lucky as they are beautiful and surreal.

For the past nine days, I have been helping plan and execute a commercial shoot at the Trona Pinnacles. I had to forgo an epic Vegas trip with my friends to be part of this production and I can honestly say it was worth it. I learned so much about the industry and met a ton of awesome people. The landscape was beautiful (aside from the bees) and the silence of the desert did not go unappreciated. As for Vegas, I think I'll force Morgan to take me for Labor Day.

Beautiful images for a beautiful Friday don't cha think? These images were the aftermath of a quote I heard last night that just about changed my whole perspective on work. "You don't drown by falling in the water; you drown by staying there" What do you think lovelies?

Gingham is awesome...I'm just saying. While floating around Pinterest, I came across this little boy flaunting his stuff in the checkered pattern. I always thought I wanted a little girl, but how could you not love this? He even has a cheeky bird on his shoulder! I'm also digging the man in the last photo...you know he's secretly checking out the hotties in front of him.

After driving through Missouri aka, "the armadillo roadkill state," we finally made it to Oklahoma. As a Los Angeles native, one tends to forget how immense the sky is in other states. Oklahoma's sky is HUGE! It had scattered clouds that were flat on the bottom and had cotton candy tops. They looked so fluffy I thought I was going to die! We ended up stopping at the Cherokee Trading Post and stocked up on cactus candy and snakeskin purses. After my sister got her smashed penny, we ate buffalo burgers and fried okra in the restaurant.

Happy Monday everyone! I picked up this pink patchwork bull head in Santa Fe a couple weeks ago and hung it next to my paper mache zebra head. I want to get one more animal to complete my big game wall! Now, all I need is this Toros en Sevilla poster to throw the room together.

This color board was inspired by the Morrow Plots in Champaign, Illinois. Established in 1876, it's America's oldest experimental corn field and the second oldest in the world. Champaign was the starting point in the road trip that I took with my sister earlier this month. More posts from the Midwest to come!

Last weekend, Morgan and I went to the OC Fair. In short, we indulged in deep fried delights, rode 9 ticket rides, won a stuffed animal, pet pigmy goats, and rode the people mover. While up in the air, I was able to snap some photos of the carnival below in proper tilt shift fashion. Enjoy! Oh, and if you want to catch the OC Fair, this is the last weekend they'll be in town.

Many bloggers right now are beckoning an early Fall with posts of warmer clothes with muted color palettes. I still consider today Summer so I'm going to post about one of my favorite summer colors - Coral. Here are some of my favorite picks in this hot shade.
The Ted Baker quilted laptop case is what inspired this whole post. I spend a good part of a three days searching for the perfect laptop case. After finding the "Lianna" case in coral, I knew I had hit the jackpot. I luckily found an online UK distributor and it will be mine in 15-20 days!

Happy Monday everyone! This weekend, while flipping through an issue of House Beautiful, I came across a Missoni ad....for Target! My colorful zig zag dreams have come true. The line is debuting September 13th with over 400 items that range from clothes to home decor. Check out this beautiful fixie that will cost you around 400$. I'm thinking a camp-out is in order. Who's with me?
