This Polly Pocket Water Park was one of my favorite toys growing up. It actually snapped together and you got to put water in it! When I found this photo online, I immediately recalled it's vibrant, 80's color. A couple days later, while on Pinterest, I came across the photo on the left and could not believe how similar the color schemes were. It was like a challenge out of Project Runway. Imagine Tim Gunn saying "Designers, you have 12 hours to create looks inspired by your favorite childhood toy." You know what gets me the most is that they are wearing the same red headband!! Here's an awesome commercial to get your Friday's going!

Shhh...
It's kind of a secret, but I'm currently working on a huge craft project for the holiday season. It involves these purdy Shiny Brites and other vintage ornies! So, don't be surprised if you see me the weekend after Halloween pillaging all the thrift stores and estate sales in Palm Springs and Los Angeles areas.

Lately, I've been...
I'm starting to see that good things happen to good people and that boldness has genius, power and magic in it! Happy Friday.
Tied up in Autumn
You know it's Fall when you have to break out the down comforter and start wearing socks to bed. Yesterday, when I stepped outside, it was almost as if you could smell Autumn in the dampness and fog. It made me want to turn around, put some tea on, and catch up on missed episodes of Rachel Zoe and ANTM in my PJs. I have to admit though, I am kind of excited to buy some riding boots and cute bow tie scarves! What are you looking forward to in the next few months?

A New Bag
I'm going to make it a habit to drop by the Kate Spade outlet every time I leave Vegas. Morgan bought this bag for me there and I want to wear it every day! It's neutral color makes it perfect to wear every season. I even love the little cloth keeper it comes with that as the phrase "She tucked her coral lipstick away and floated back into the party" engraved on it! Ugh, so Kate Spade.
How High's the Water Mama
I think that swimming in the Marina Bay Sands infinity pool just made my bucket list. The design for this hotel is just mindblowing. The gravity defying skydeck provide guests with a not too shabby panoramic view of the surrounding skyline. Now all I have to do is plan a trip to Singapore!
The Cat's Meow
Can I just say that it is so nice to have a vintage store in Los Feliz that doesn't charge you a two day salary for a cute dress. That's exactly what I told owner, Mikie Shinoya when I first stopped in. Last week, I had the pleasure of photographing Meowdy's grand opening. I also found a short video of the event here. Enjoy!

Cosmic Beings
Happy Monday everyone! I can't seem to take my eyes off these gifs by Texan photographer Ingacio Torres. I kind of need a little mindless beauty for the week I'm about to have.

A Side Note
I'm need a little glamour in my life right now. I've been working like a mad woman these past couple weeks freelancing and it is rough! For now, I guess I'll have to pretend I'm Lindsey Wixson in this Jason Wu number. I DIE!

Sanrio Cake Pops
Last week I made Hello Kitty cake pops for an new office mate. I've always wanted to make cake pops but never really had a reason to/was afraid to stray from my praised cupcakes. I used a recipe from Bakerella because hers turned out absolutely perrrrrfect. I would switch out the edible marker she used for the eyes and whiskers with black piping candy though. The marker I bought at Michael's didn't write on the candy coating as well as described. In the end, I think they came out adorable and delish. I used strawberry cake and butter cream frosting for the innards. Since I went all in with these guys, I kind of want to make the plain balls next time to perfect the coating method.
