Homemade Pinatas!

It was my co-worker's 40th birthday last week and I wanted to do something special for her. I was feeling extra crafty and all those pinata tutorials on Oh Happy Day were beckoning to me. Seriously, who makes alligator pinatas? Jordan that's who! She amazes me every day and if you're not following her blog, you should definatly check it out. The pinatas took longer than what I imagined because of all the layers of fringe paper. I ended up asking morgan to put the 4 together for me while I finished up the zero. Make sure you have enough glue because I went through like 6 small sticks. You should also make sure you have enough of the color tissue paper you want. I would say a pack or two for each color if you're making two numbers. These were about 20 inches tall and 4 inches deep. The night before, I filled it with confetti and candy and we strung them up in the office and took turns swinging!

  1. Thanks for the publish, its really informative. It always seems to me like piƱatas should get used as effigies.
