Happy Friday to most of you out there! Why do short weeks always make for unproductive workers? Seriously, all I can think about is turkey and getting out of here before 5. Yesterday at work, we pulled names for Secret Santa and it got me thinking about how much I love wrapping presents. Thanks to Martha Stewart and crafting blogs, it has sort of become an art form. To prepare for this holiday season, I’ve been collecting pink and red wrapping paper all year and I finally pulled them out of storage. Now, all I have to do is hit up those Black Friday sales and I’ll be wrapping ready. I ‘m also planning to share the Christmas project I’ve been working on sometime next week.

A is for Agate
I can't help but notice all the agate all over the blogosphere lately in the form of jewelry and home decor. Just the other weekend, I found myself wanting to buy a blue agate bracelet I found at an antique store. Even in Vegas, agate is abundant. The Aria features staircases lined with these precious stones.

Holiday Preview #2
I went to the Rose Bowl Flea Market this past weekend in search of more glass blown ornaments and was pleasantly surprised at how many vendors had their Christmas goodies out. Most of them knew the market value for the average Shiny Brite, but I was still able to find some stellar deals. I realized that I need to stop collecting these ornaments and start the actual project! If not, I’m going to end up with one crowded (but awesome) Christmas tree.

Gloomy Friday
I have the apartment to myself this weekend and all I want to do is wake up in a clean house, make tea, and listen to the rain fall. Here's to hoping it rains all day tomororw!

Ombres and Chiffon
Is it bad that I still love wearing chiffon even when it's 60 degrees outside? I scored both the lavender clutch and green chiffon number for under 20 bucks at the AA Fea Sale. The shirt is retailing for 58$ and the clutch for 68$ on their online store. It sucks because now I can't bring myself to buy anything knowing that their factory sale was so amazing! Oh and I went to Rudy's two weeks ago and got an ombre fade.

American Apparel Flea Sale
Despite some pretty negative reviews of last year's American Apparel Flea Sale, I decided to wake up early on Saturday morning and check it out. It was held at their manufacturing warehouse in Little Tokyo and after reading all the reviews about hour-long lines, I decided to get there 45 minutes before they opened. I was probably 10th in line when they led us up to the second story and I couldn't believe the sheer scale of it all. Literally, the whole second floor was a shop, it was kind of overwhelming. Because the space was so large I kind of had to circle around 3 or 4 times to make sure I didn't miss anything. Once you were done shopping, you got to hop on their service elevator that took you back downstairs and into another room had had an accessory-lined pathway that led to the cashiers. Pretty well organized if you ask me! I walked out with 120$ worth of quality stuff. I'm definitely planning on going again next year.
